It seems that in New Zealand, WordPress has been pidgin holed into just one capacity. But it’s capabilities now far surpass just a blogging and commenting CMS (Content Management System), with the use of plug-ins simple shopping carts, image galleys, and even complex forms can be achieved. With the right use of imagination and creativity, just about anything can be realized.
As the web and the technologies that create it are constantly changing, it’s not a great idea to specialize. While I have written in this blog that my favorite CMS (Content Management System) is WordPress, I do need to point out that it’s not the only CMS that I use. I have been working with Joomla as well, and I have to say that it’s a pleasant relationship.
Flash has been getting a bad wrap in web development circles these days. “iPhone killed flash” is what I hear a lot, and okay you might have a point that iPhone doesn’t support flash, but have you seen the statistics on how many iPhones there are on the network compared to say Android devices? Not to mention the crazy awesome motion graphics you can create, take a look at my front page for example.
